The Nürburgring Nordschleife is one of the hardest tracks in the world to learn. Over 20 kilometres, more than 150 corners, and weather that can change from one end of a lap to the other. The only way to truly know it is to drive it, constantly.

That's hard when you live in another country and winter closes the track for months.

This driver, based in the Baltics, runs the Nordschleife and had used simulators before but never owned one. When he came to us, he didn't want to work his way up. He wanted the top. So we built him our HXR.

The Most Realistic Simulator We Know How to Build

The HXR is our flagship — the closest a simulator gets to being in the car. The idea behind it is simple: every part that makes it feel more real, and nothing that just makes it cost more.

For a driver chasing the Nordschleife, that's the whole point. The track punishes anything vague, so the sim can't be vague either.

Motion That Moves Like a Real Car

This build runs a 5DOF motion system. On top of the core motion, a traction-loss stage adds the rotation you feel when the car steps out — so it's not just braking and kerbs, but the rear breaking loose and the weight shifting through a corner.

On a lap that's mostly about reading the car over crests and compressions, that feedback is the training.

(Our current HXR builds use a true Vero Motion 6DOF system — this one was built on the 5DOF platform we used at the time.)

Vision That Surrounds You

Three 55-inch 4K screens wrap the whole field of view, top to bottom and side to side. On a track this long and this blind, that matters — you can place the car against the scenery, catch a corner arriving over a crest, and see the road fall away in front of you in sharp 4K.

The Hardware That Carries the Feel

Under the wheel is the Asetek Invicta — 27Nm of direct drive, with detailed, stable feedback even in long stints. The Simucube ActivePedal Pro active brake sets its resistance, travel and curve in software, so braking can be matched to a real car — and on the Nordschleife, braking is most of the job. A belt tensioner drives the six-point harness into your chest under load, so your body feels the g-forces the track throws at it.

He runs the Nordschleife in the sims installed on it — Assetto Corsa and iRacing — with Assetto Corsa Rally on there too, for when he feels like some rally.

Clean, All Black

On the look, he wanted one thing: clean, all black. So the whole simulator — chassis, stand, seat — was finished in black, on our own Helente X aluminium chassis.

Built, Tested, Delivered

We built and configured the system down to the last detail and tested everything end to end before it left the workshop. Then we delivered it to him in the Baltics, set up and ready to drive.

The Nordschleife, Any Time

Now he can drive the Nordschleife whenever he wants — in any weather, any season, all year round.

That's what the top of the range is for. Not a number on a spec sheet, but the closest thing to a lap of the Green Hell without leaving the house.
